Useful support for the work in front of you

Running a small business means making decisions across customers, marketing, sales and day-to-day operations, often with limited time and specialist support. Our focus is on helping owners understand their options, choose a useful next step and build the ability to carry it forward.

We begin with the business question and the resources available. The format and scope of support are agreed for the particular work.

What support can include

Practical business education

Workshops and focused learning around customers, offers, marketing, inquiry handling and the information owners use to make decisions. The emphasis is applying the learning to a real business task.

Tools owners can use

Planning worksheets, inquiry trackers, workflow checklists and simple measurement tools that fit the business and can be maintained by the owner.

Help putting ideas into practice

Scoped support with a selected improvement, such as clarifying a customer-facing page, organizing follow-up or documenting a repeatable process. The work and completion checks are agreed together.

Confidence to keep going

Clear guidance, practice using the tool and ownership of the next step. The aim is to leave the owner better equipped to maintain and build on the work.

Start with one useful improvement

  1. Choose an outcome. Identify a question or improvement that matters to the business.
  2. Understand the starting point. Review the relevant process, information and resources.
  3. Learn and apply. Work through the choices and put an agreed tool or improvement into practice.
  4. Keep ownership. Leave with guidance, a clear next step and a way to review progress.

The right level of support depends on the need and the agreed scope. Software subscriptions, third-party costs and continuing management are discussed explicitly.

Working with the community

We welcome conversations with business owners, community organizations and companies interested in widening access to practical business education and tools.

We start with the needs of the community and define the scope of any work together. Participation does not require purchasing Coherist enterprise services or providing a testimonial.

Let us know what would be useful
